Afternoon Visit

We ate the soup at the apt. for lunch. It has lasted us 12 meals (6 each) at this point. Are we tired of soup?

We treated ourselves to lattes and a slice of cake at the coffee shop across the street. Took a nap, and gathered things to take to the children's home. Good things to take are a juice pack, a piece of fruit, a couple of little candies, and something for the group. Pineapple juice and orange juice seem to be favorites! Bananas and kiwis are also favorites, followed by an apple. Little chocolates (2 or 3) are welcomed and then it is really cool if you bring something to share. Allowing Little Chix to give to her group is a big hit for her. So, we get biscuits/cookies which are like $1USD a package. Many varieties exist. The chocolate ones are especially yummy!

We had a fashion show to start with today! What a hit! She loved it! Little Chix was stunned - her eyes were as big as saucers when I pulled out one of the skirts that she really liked! WOW she said in English! She paraded around in it, and then I pulled out another skirt. ME?! WOW! Again! She changed into that and did a few modeling moves. Then the black suspender pants came out. She was shocked! So many clothes! She loved those! The jeans were her least favorite, but she was overwhelmed by so many clothes! We talked about the too tight pair and agreed that perhaps Anna Maria would like them, so Little Chix said she'd like to take them to Anna Maria and she did.

Do not be alarmed if your driver takes you to the Children's Home and this is the first thing you see.
Yes, it is a big statue carved out of wood. A very unhappy mama. We think it is sad and wonder why it is here. She is near the entrance to the home. What a sad reminder for these kids to see every day.

On a happier note, you can see Papa scored success with Little Chix on her English skills! She showed us her homework and we met her teacher. She does work on a limited writing of English words at school.

Smiling for our own camera!

Loves her Papa!

A Very Happy Papa!

 Pleeeeeezzee spin me faster, pleeeeezzz!
